Val d'Adige

Delimited in the south by the Vallagraina and in the north by the province of Bolzano, the Adige Valley encloses the valley floor formed by the river with the same name, and along the river run also the state road, the railway and the motorway of the Brennero that connect Italy with the north of Europe. The presence of the provincial capital and the development of the road network and the trades, handicraft and industry have in time changed the landscape of the territory, which was marked until a few decades ago nearly only by vine and apple growing.

Trento, roman city and bridge between the Latin and Central European culture, preserves in it’s monuments a Renaissance stamp conferred by enlightened Bishops who ruled the city for eight centuries. Centre of the Council, bounded with the Protestant-Lutheran schism, Trento is a city of artistic and historic importance.

In the west of the city rises the Mount Bondone, destination of the summer and winter tourism thanks to it’s many possibilities to make simple excursions in the forests and trough meadows or to ski on many ski runs with different difficulties.

The M.Bondone is known also because of it’s flora which grows spontaneously, rich in first-rate medical species: the herbs are used since more than a century for “hay bathes” to treat several troubles coming principally from arthrosis and articular stiffness: the thermal spa in Garniga and Sopramonte use herbs mowed in meadows between 1200 and 1500 metres of altitude.

And after much emotion it’s important for the motor biker to know that the Agritur Val d'Adige can offer him the right refreshment and also put on his disposal a good shelter to keep safe his motorbike, and in case of need a reliable workshop.
